Tim Howell
With over 30 years’ experience within the landscape and external services industry, Tim has been responsible for the strategic direction and growth of Mitie Landscapes for the last 20 years.
He is passionate about sustainability and has launched innovations such as the Plan Zero City Landscaping Service, an initiative designed to reduce emissions in high-pollution areas such as cities and urban environments through the use of renewable energy powered equipment.
Tim was also at the forefront of introducing ‘Gritter Thunberg’, the UK’s first zero emission gritting service for commercial use, to Mitie’s EV fleet.
Mitie Landscapes employs 800 people providing horticultural and winter services, operating across the UK, and has recently acquired Biotecture, a leading specialist in designing, building and maintaining ‘living walls’ for interior and exterior urban landscapes. Mitie Landscapes is part of Mitie Group PLC, the leading facilities management company in the UK.
Its 72,000 colleagues provide a wide range of services across the UK to both the public and private sectors including engineering, security, cleaning and energy services.
