Dee Vickers
Dee is the Head of Apprenticeships at Kingston Maurward College, a Staff Governor, on the Board of Directors for the Dorset & Somerset Training Provider Network, and a Member of the Society for Education & Training (MSET). She also holds an Honours Degree in Education and is QTLS qualified.
Dee has been involved in training and education since the early 1990’s, ran her own training and assessment business in forestry and arboriculture, before entering back into FE to look after apprenticeships just as the new Standards came into being.
Since early 2020, Dee has been working at Kingston Maurward College to improve the quality of provision, ensuring adherence to funding guidelines and correct documentation. She has been involved in several ESFA audits and a recent Ofsted inspection graded the provision as Good (narrowly missing out on Outstanding!).
Dee is currently restoring a 16th century farmhouse on the Somerset / Devon / Dorset border, enjoys cycling, photography and spending weekends away in the campervan!
