Adam White

Adam is a chartered landscape architect and director of Kingston upon Thames based landscape architects, Davies White Ltd.  

He was the 43rd President of the Landscape Institute (LI); and in 2012 was made a Fellow of the LI for his role in changing how UK play spaces are designed to be more nature inspired. He is Chair of LI College of Fellows, which is made up of the UK’s leading landscape architects and landscape professionals. Since 2012 he has been a member of the Garden Media Guild and is a design member of BALI.  

 

He is co-author of Play England’s publication Managing and Maintaining Playful Landscapes.  

Since 2012 he has written a regular column in Pro Landscaper and in 2022 he was voted as one of the UK’s Most Influential Landscape professionals. 

During 2019 Davies White worked with HRH The Duchess of Cambridge (now The Princess of Wales) to co-design four RHS Chelsea Back to Nature gardens in the same year as LI President Adam made Sir David Attenborough an Honorary Fellow of the LI and presented him with a Lifetime Achievement Award. Adam is a visiting tutor at both The London College of Garden Design and the KLC School of Design. 

He is a retired rower and now an avid swimmer, runner, cyclist. He is also a semi-professional balloon modeller and bingo caller.
