The Society of Garden Designers
The Society of Garden Designers has been championing excellence and innovation in garden design since 1981. Our members, representing the very best of the industry, create inspiring gardens and landscapes founded on sound design principles and an understanding of the natural world.
The organisation was founded as the Garden Design Society by a group of eminent landscape designers, who came together to establish garden design as a serious profession. The Society now boasts a diverse Registered Membership of both individual designers and practices. They are all experienced, competent, creative professionals, who have gone through a robust process of accreditation, and they work across a broad range of projects from roof terraces and urban courtyards to large country gardens and public parks.
We support our members to train, work and develop the skills to maintain the highest standards. Society members are well equipped to design sustainable landscapes which meet the challenges of the future.
