Mark Freedman
Following completion of his honours degree in Building Engineering and Management from Edinburgh Napier University, Mark began work with Aggregate Industries, Concrete products division, CAMAS Building materials in Technical and Specification sales gaining a knowledge of production and design. He then moved onto Marshalls as Specification manager working with designers and contractors on prestigious projects throughout Scotland, this was where his interest in natural stone was born. Following a time with Stonepave UK working with imported granite from China and Portugal, along with his colleagues, he was involved with the formation of BBS Granite concepts continuing to import stone form abroad whilst adding indigenous material into the mix.
It was through these collaborations that he became involved with Tradstocks and, in 2018 he bought into the Westwood factory entering the world of Stone production. For the last seven years he has been responsible for driving the business forward promoting Scottish stone for Building and public realm projects whilst growing the production facility to meet the new demand for indigenous stone.
