Speakers

Ian is a landscape architect and town planner with over 35 years’ experience working in local government and the private sector and in both rural and urban environments. He was appointed by the Secretary of State as a member of the South Downs National Park Authority in 2013 and was elected Chair of the Authority from 2020 to 2022. He has been an active member of the Landscape Institute for many years, was a former Vice President and is now Chair of its Policy and Public Affairs Committee. He lives in Farnham, enjoys cooking and gardening and is very slowly converting a huge collection of photographic slides into digital media.
