Cecilia Sandrini of Plant Based Gardens works in Private Gardens, Kings College Cambridge, teaching horticultural apprentices, and working with Landscape Architects and Garden Designers.

After training and working as a Fine Artist, she retrained in horticulture and garden design, where she has concentrated on Planting Design and to create biodiverse, sustainable designs that will be climate resilient at a time when our weather can no longer be predictable. 

In 2026 she was the Planting consultant for Melanie Hick’s People's Choice ‘Nocturnal Garden’ and in 2025 was Planting Consultant of the Gold medal and best All About Plants garden ‘Seawilding’ for Ryan McMahon.
