Nicola Godden Sculpture

My sculpting process begins with nothing more than a few lines on paper—a skeletal map for an unknown journey. Using wire to translate these lines into three-dimensional space, I build until the work takes on a life of its own. I have a rough idea of what I am trying to create but I rarely know what a piece will end up looking like. For me it is all about feel and movement and emotion.
