Jennie Savage
Jennie Savage is an award-winning urbanist, creative thinker and social researcher working in the fields of architecture, urban design and planning. Her unique approaches to understanding people and place ground big picture, strategic thinking in the fine detail of people’s stories, local knowledge and everyday experience. She has worked as a researcher and co-designer in public, private and academic sectors and has an independent design practice.
Jennie has been working in the planning policy team at London Borough of Tower Hamlets researching and writing an evidence base and design guidance on gender inclusivity. ‘This is for the Majority’ draws on engagement with over 500 women, girls and gender diverse people in the borough to propose a framework for inclusive design that advocates for the creation of regenerative spaces prioritising social prosperity, health, wellbeing, biodiversity and play.
