Powered by Hyphae Learning: Landscape Performance Live
A series of talks centred around providing resources for visitors to enhance the performance of their business will take place at this year’s FutureScape.
Industry experts will share their insights and experiences within the new Landscape Performance Live powered by Hyphae Learning.
The two-day seminar programme will be hosted by Hyphae Learning founders Jake Catling, managing director of award-winning The Landscaping Consultants, and performance coach Sam Grayson, hosts of the popular Landscape Performance podcast.
A panel of those who have won employee excellence awards will kick off the talks on Tuesday 15 October. Nicholsons’ Liz Nicholson, Glendale Countryside’s Adrian Wickham and Tony Benger Landscaping’s Oliver Hemson will share how they are embedding a culture in their workforce that produces great results.
Landform Consultants’s managing director Mark Gregory – voted Pro Landscaper’s Most Influential person in the industry – will then share his experience of performing at the top over a long period of time.
Business coach Nick Ruddle and one of his clients, Paul Downer from Oak View Landscapes, will cover the benefits of working with a coach, who can offer an external lens.
The first day closes with a panel focused on innovation, as industry experts Paul Cowell of PC Landscapes, Oliver Gunns of Gunns Contractors and Vectorworks’ Katarina Ollikainen discuss digital construction.
On Wednesday 16 October, RHS Chelsea Flower Show manager and health coach Gemma Lake talks about being the best version of yourself and promoting a holistic performance in your team.
This is followed by an inspiring talk from the project team behind the Garden of the Future at the National Trust’s Sheffield Park and Garden. Catling will be joined by garden designer Joe Perkins and the National Trust’s Pippa Reece to explore how collaboration was key to bringing the project to life.
Catling and Grayson will bring the programme to a close by sharing key learnings from across the two days at FutureScape, sharing their favourite moments and top takeaways from the talks.
As well as an engaging seminar programme, Landscape Performance Live will also feature Demonstrations of high-performance equipment and skills as well as a Social Meetup Hub for visitors to network with their peers and engage with some of the panellists on a one-to-one basis.
A variety of exhibitors – carefully curated for Landscape Performance Live to have a focus on training, education and employment – will also be part of the new feature at FutureScape.
